Peacefully, at the Chelsey Park Nursing Home, London, and almost exactly one year from the date of the passing of her beloved husband John, on Friday, August 12, 2022, Maria Manuela Avelar (nee Melo) of Tillsonburg, formerly of Strathroy passed away at the age of 83 years. Devoted wife of 60 years to the late John (2021). Dear mother to her children Francisco Avelar and his wife Julia of Rhode Island, U.S.A., and Victor Avelar and his partner Sarah Arnold. Proud and doting grandmother to Sean, Amanda, Ashley, and Gallen. Great grandmother to Noelle. A Private interment will be held at the Tillsonburg Cemetery.
