MARJORIE MAUREEN ALBRIGHT

Peacefully on Monday May 22, 2023, Marjorie Maureen Albright (nee Irving) originally of Mt. Elgin passed away at the age of 89 years. Beloved wife and best friend for 63 years to the late Ross Albright (2017). Loving and caring mother of Steve Albright (Karen), Kelley Hunt (Dave), Laureen “Chuckie” Harcourt (Graham) and Maureen “Mo” MacDonald (Ken). Cherished grandmother of Melissa (Jake), Brianne, Janelle (Brandon), Derrick (Andrea), Shea (Jeff), Avril (Sheahan), Jordan (James), Jillian (Brendan), Sam (Danielle), Sydney (André) and great-grandchildren Taylor, Tristen, Taryn, Dylan, Dakota, Merle, Miller, Maitland, Manders, Jason, Jenna, Harlow, Emery, Evelyne, William, Edie and Maeve. Dear sister to Donnajean Jefferies (Jim) and sister-in-law Lois Irving. She is survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sister Maxine Doan (Alex), brother Lavern and sister Ruth Ann (Gord) Haley. Marjorie was an active member in her community and was involved as a UCW Member – Dereham Centre, Mt. Elgin, a bus Driver for many years, she was also heavily involved in meat pie making at the Mt. Elgin United Church and you could always find Marjorie with Bud Ritchie’s catering. Marjorie enjoyed life immensely, it could be just sitting around a kitchen table. She loved family time and always enjoyed a good party, going on excursions around the globe with her family, going to the cottage or “shop till you drop”. Friends and relatives will be received at Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) on Wednesday May 24, 2023 from 2:00pm until 4:00pm and then 6:00pm until 8:00pm. The Funeral Service for Marjorie will take place in Ostrander’s Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday May 25, 2023 at 11:00am. Rev. Lori Minler to officiate. Interment following the service at Mt. Elgin Cemetery. Donations in memory of Marjorie may be made to the Mt. Elgin United Church and can be done online directly with the Charity or by contacting the Funeral Home.
