I have fond memories of Christmas's past with Mary and Charles dropping by to visit, after I| moved out west it was a requirement to stop in and say hi to Mary not matter what time of year it was. Aunt Mary was a grand lady that made her extended family always feel welcomed, even if she couldn't hear what was being said to her.

To Marys' family my deepest sympathy for your loss. My mom had a lot of respect for Mary and from her I learnt why.
Mary was a very respected lady of Port Burwell. May she rest in peace.

Aunt were such a loving caring generous woman. You taught us to always be kind and to help others and to do it without praise. I'm sure my love of animals came from watching you take care of Peggy N' Mitzi...a stray mother dog with her pup. You gave them such a good home. Fluffy the cat too...although I don't believe she was a stray...she was just spoiled. You and Uncle Charlie were a perfect pair...there was so much love in both of you and you showed it to everyone. You meant so much to me and I will always be grateful and I will always love you and honour your memory. Rest peacefully Aunt Mary...until we meet again

I got to know Mary when she and my father lived at the same Port Burwell retirement home. Turns out Mary and my mother (deceased) had been childhood best friends. They were born just days apart. Mary always welcomed me with a warm smile and hug. I felt close to her, due to our shared connection, though I only knew her for a couple years.
Heartfelt condolences and hugs to Mary's family.
