MARY DEBRUYNE (VAN EYGEN)
NOVEMBER 18, 1929– NOVEMBER 7, 2021
It is with a sad and heavy heart that our beautiful mother, grandma, great grandma and great-great grandma passed away. At that great harvest table in heaven, Lawrence looked up and said “Ahh, there’s my Mary. Come on honey, let’s dance”. Peacefully at Woodingford Lodge, Tillsonburg on Sunday November 7, 2021 Mary DeBruyne passed away in her 92nd year. Loving and caring Mother to Maurice (Kathy), Louis (Cathy), Ricky (Dorothy), Darlene (Jeff Miller), Cindy (Gump Hildebrant). Mary was a very special grandmother to 15 grandchildren, great grandmother to 17 and great-great grandmother to 9. Sister to Dorothy Vanderhaeghe and aunt to several nieces and nephews. Mary was a CWL Member for over 50 years and a Member of the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She worked for many years at Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital in the housekeeping department. She was married for over 66 years to her late husband Lawrence before his passing in 2013. Visitation will be held at Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg, ON N4G 3T6 (519) 842-5221 on Thursday November 11, 2021, 2021 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Guests are asked to register online on Mary’s tribute page using the RSVP button or by calling the funeral home. Masks will be mandatory. As vaccination status will not be checked, social distancing rules will apply. A private mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church. Interment will be held at the Tillsonburg Cemetery. Memorial Donations in Mary’s memory may be made to Woodingford Lodge Tillsonburg – Donation to Recreation, and can be done by following the directions on Mary’s tribute page or by contacting the funeral home.
