Obituary for Mary Marosevich (Kilian)

MARY (KILIAN) MAROSEVICH
JUNE 1, 1931 – AUGUST 28, 2021

Peacefully, at the St. Thomas – Elgin General Hospital in St. Thomas on Saturday, August 28, 2021, Mary (Kilian) Marosevich, of Tillsonburg passed away at the age of 90 years. Born in Hamilton to Adam and Eva Kilian and raised mostly on tobacco farms. Married Eli Marosevich in 1950. They lived with her parents for 3 years and had their daughter Kristine. They then purchased their own tobacco farm. Mary and Eli then had their daughter, Darlene. They sold the farm after 14 years and moved to Tillsonburg. Mary then worked for Cadman Jewelry in Courtland for 20 years until her retirement. She volunteered at the Tillsonburg Food Bank, Tillsonburg Hospital and St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She was a member the CWL for over 50 years. She belonged to the Tillsonburg Horticultural Society and went on many bus trips with them. Eli passed away in 2004. Mary enjoyed trips and went on several to Europe, U.S.A. and Canada. Loved by her daughter Darlene and granddaughter Wendy and especially her 2 great-grandsons DJ and James. Everyone enjoyed her cabbage rolls and breaded chicken. Mary really liked living in her apartment on Queen Street where she had many close friends. She really missed her daughter, Kristine and son-in-law Paul. It was very hard on her; they went too soon. In keeping with Mary’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
