MARY OLCSVARY
MARCH 31, 1934 – APRIL 24, 2021
Peacefully at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital, on Saturday, April 24, 2021, Mary Olcsvary of Tillsonburg passed away at the age of 87 years. Loving wife of 69 years to her husband, Joseph. Wonderful mother to Joe (Dianne) Olcsvary; Jim Olcsvary; Illona Olcsvary (David); Maryanne Mueller; Sue (John) Drotos; Yolanda (Murray) Hopper. Grandmother to Joey (Bobbi-Jo) Olcsvary; Chris (Jenn) Olcsvary; Adam Olcsvary; Amy (Jesse) Abraham; Ryan (Gabby) Mueller; Alyssia (Matt) Ward; Brittany (Greg) McCurdy; Bryan Hopper. Great Grandmother to Eric, Jaimee Olcsvary; Marshall, Mia Olcsvary; Ethan, Olivia Abraham; Kaleb, Bentley, Logan, Sawyer McCurdy. Survived by her sister, Vera Geroly, Yolanda (Eugene) Geroly, and several nieces and nephews. Pre-deceased by parents; Elizabeth and Martin Ladon, sisters Grace (Simon) Barta, Betty (Andy) Barta and her brother in law John Geroly. Mary was a loving Christian Mother and Grandmother. She enjoyed being around family, cooking, baking, reading, shopping, walking and knitting. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends and all of her co-workers at Johnson Controls. Public visitation will be held on Wednesday April 28th at Ostrander’s Funeral Home from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 8:30pm to 9:00pm. Guests must RSVP for a time online or via phone at 519-842-5221. Time spots will be limited due covid restrictions and any guests that are not registered will not be able to attend. Guests must wear a face mask, stay socially distant from anyone not in their household and not attend if they have been ill, travelled outside of Canada or been exposed to anyone with covid-19. A Private Funeral Service will be held in Ostrander’s Chapel. Interment will be held at the Tillsonburg Cemetery.
