Nickolas Dahm
February 25, 1945 – August 27, 2019
After a brave and valiant battle, Nickolas Klaas Dahm of Tillsonburg, passed away quietly on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital with his loving family by his side. Loving husband of 45 years to his wife Dorothy (nee: Buchanan). Cherished father to Lisa Dahm. Brother to Doug Dam, Dirk Adamson and his wife Margaret, Joyce Scholten and her husband Bé, Rose Edge and her husband Darrell. Brother–in-law to Don Buchanan and his partner Grace, Ilene Buchanan and her husband Roy Vardy; and Norm Shingler. Loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Jan and Uilkje Dahm, sister Jess Shingler, Brother-in-law Norm Buchanan and his wife Anne. Square dancing and the square dance community were a tremendous support to Nick. His passions for gardening and woodworking, along with square dancing allowed his life to be full and motivated right up until his final days. The family welcomes friends and family to join them at Ostrander’s Funeral Home 43 Bidwell St. Tillsonburg (519) 842-5221 on Saturday, August 31, 2019 from 12 noon until service time at 2 p.m. Rev. Pat Cook officiating. Cremation has taken place. Inurnment in Tillsonburg Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations (payable by cheque) may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, London Health Science Centre- London Regional Cancer Program, or to Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital.
