Obituary for Norma Belle Puhr (Hodgson)

NORMA BELLE PUHR
JUNE 30, 1929 – NOVEMBER 19, 2020
Peacefully, at Caressant Care Nursing Home in Courtland on Thursday, November 19, 2020, Norma Belle (Hodgson) Puhr passed away at the age of 91 years. Beloved wife of the Late Joseph Puhr (1986). Loving mother of Theresa Martin (Gary) of Tillsonburg and Richard Puhr (Kathy) of Tennessee. Cherished grandmother of Justin (Heidi), Ashley (Andrew Kamenar), Collin, Michael, Joseph, Jason (Corri), Jeremy and great-grandmother of Charles, Liam, Ellery, Adeline and Rilynn. Predeceased by her parents William and Mabel (McIntyre) Hodgson and brothers Gary, Gerald, Robert and Jack Hodgson. Norma was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church Women’s League and the Tillsonburg Royal Canadian Legion Branch #153 Ladies Auxiliary. She was an avid bowler and passionate Blue Jays fan. Norma lived life to the fullest by surrounding herself with family and friends and travelling all over the world. Friends and relatives will be received at Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm and 7:00 – 9:00 pm.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, public visitation will be LIMITED to ONLY guests that sign up for a specific time to attend. Time slots will be made available on our website or by calling 519-842-5221. Guests are asked to not attend if they are ill, have been in contact with anyone that is ill or have travelled. Guests are required to wear masks and maintain social distancing rules. Guests are encouraged to only attend when their time slot begins. A Private Family Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Interment will take place at St. Ladislaus Cemetery in Courtland. Memorial donations to the TDMH Dialysis Unit or Alzheimers Society would be appreciated by the Puhr family.
