Obituary for Paul Gordon Weaver

Peacefully and with dignity at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center we lost Paul Gordon Weaver our beloved Husband, Father, Brother, Uncle and Friend. Husband and best friend of wife Janet, proud Father of Andrew. Paul is predeceased by his brother Doug (Marie) and is survived by Sister Cheri (Doug), Brother-in-laws Gerald and Eric (Kim), Sister-in-Law Ann (Noel) Loving Uncle to Erin, Dawn, Jodi, Doug (Becky), Colin (Cassie), Sara (Joe), Daniel and Rachel. Great Uncle to Krystle, Corey, Charly, Alexandra, Caleb, Alexis, Aubrey and Lucy. Compadre and Friend Paul Snyder who was like a brother.

Paul was passionate in whatever he participated in. His insatiable appetite for knowledge, excitement and adventure resulted in many interests and hobbies that fulfilled his life with many great friends he met along the way. Some of the many things Paul participated in were Boxing, Dressage, Kendo, Cycling, Motorcycle Riding and Track Days, Music, Soccer, Good Scotch, Good Food and his Beloved Dog Aiden. The accomplishments he was most proud of included the opportunity to represent Canada at the Pan Am Games in Kendo earning a Silver Medal, being a founding member of the Tillsonburg Celtic Music Club, becoming a Music Teacher, and most recently being honoured for his contribution in the birth of London Symphonia as the Founding Board Chair.

Anyone who knows Paul knows that he attacked life with vigor and unrelenting competition to be the best he could be. He carried this trait in his work, his life, his leisure and his illness. Those of us closest to him will forever be inspired by his grace and never ending drive to live each and every day like it was his last. Well done Paul Sláinte!

Please join us in honouring Paul's life Sunday, May 19 at the Carriage Hall 25 Brock St. W., Tillsonburg. Celebration of Life from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Service to start at 1:30 PM, followed by a Weaver Style Reception.

Special Thanks to our incredible Friends and Family (please know who you are) who never stopped helping, caring, doing. To my work family and the best employer imaginable (The Town of Tillsonburg). This unending support inspired Paul to continue on his journey and allowed him to embark on helping to pave the way for ground breaking new therapies. We are forever grateful. To our homecare nurse Kristin and other CCAC staff. Dr. Joy Mangel and team at LHSC, Dr. Philip McCarthy and the exceptional care team at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center and the Kevin Guest House Buffalo “our home away from home”.
