1951-2020
Unexpectedly on Friday, June 26, 2020, Reginald Paul Harwood of Tillsonburg passed away at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family at the age of 68 years. Loving husband of 47 years to Bonnie (nee Hendricks). Caring and supportive father to Jamie Harwood and his wife Jodie Pearson; Craig Harwood and his wife Michelle. Proud grandfather to Cooper and Madison Harwood; Mason and Kennedy Firby. Brother to Joan Cole. Special uncle to many nieces and nephews. Reg is predeceased by his parents Reginald and Pauline Harwood, sisters Marie Ann Harwood and Barbara Anne Gee. Reg loved his family dearly, and had a great enjoyment for farming and the outdoors. Friends and relatives will be received at Ostrander’s Funeral Home Limited, 43 Bidwell Street Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) on Thursday, July 2nd, 2020 from 1:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 9:00 p.m.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, public visitation will be LIMITED to ONLY guests that sign up for a specific time to attend. Time slots will be made available on our website or by calling 519-842-5221. Each Person that plans on attending MUST be listed as a guest. Guests are asked to not attend if they are ill, have been around anyone that is ill or have travelled. Guests are required to wear masks and maintain social distancing rules. Guests are encouraged to only attend when their time slot begins. If guests arrive too early, they are asked to wait in their vehicle. If guests arrive late, they will not be permitted to enter.
A Private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Tillsonburg with Father John Pirt presiding. Cremation will commence after the Mass. A private family interment will be held at LaSalette Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the Harwood family.
