ROBERT CROSBIE BARKER (1927 – 2019)
Robert “Bob” Crosbie Barker of Tillsonburg and formerly of Burlington and Hamilton, passed away at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital on Monday, April 29, 2019 at the age of 91 years. Beloved husband and best friend of Marie (Burke) Barker for 61 wonderful years. Proud and loving father of Joan Crawford of Cambridge, Susan Greenfield (Mark) of Shelburne and David Barker (Linda) of Texas. Cherished grandfather of Bec and Sarah Crawford, Megan, Jordan, Aunna and James Greenfield, Ethan and Emma Barker and great-grandfather of Kellan Greenfield. Predeceased by his parents Walter and Elizabeth (Nutter) Barker. Bob was a proud member of the Lions Club. He was also Vice President of the Burlington Rotary Club and served as Director and President of the Chamber of Commerce in both Hamilton and Burlington. Bob was an avid golfer and a member of the Burlington, Florida and Tillsonburg Golf and Country Clubs. Bob was a loyal employee of the Royal Bank for 41 years. He retired as Corporate Regional Manager in Hamilton. Friends and relatives will be received by Marie and her family at St. Paul’s United Church, 88 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg on Sunday, May 12, 2019 from 1:00 – 2:00 pm. The Memorial Service for Bob will follow at 2:00 pm with Rev. Maurice Francis officiating. Private family inurnment at the Tillsonburg Cemetery.
