Peacefully, with his family by his side at University Hospital in London on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, Robert (Bob) T. Smith, of Tillsonburg, passed away at the age of 67 years. Loving companion of 12 years to Lisa Robinson. Proud and loving father of his two sons Rob Smith (Carla) of Delhi and Stephen Smith (Tara) of Tillsonburg. Cherished grandfather of Jackson, Jayden and Easton Smith. Beloved son of Mary Smith of Brantford. Dear brother of Brian Smith (Barb) of Brantford and uncle to Brandon and Amy Smith. Predeceased by his father Ken Smith. Bob was the Proprietor of E.R. Adams Insurance Ltd., a volunteer firefighter, served many terms on the Tillsonburg Town Council, he also served on the Police Services Board, a founding member of the Helping Hands Food Bank, a member of the Masonic Lodge (King Hiram Lodge # 78), member of the Tillsonburg Shrine Club and a member of the Tillsonburg Legion Branch # 153.
In keeping with Bob’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A public Masonic Lodge Memorial Service with words of remembrance will be held at Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) on Friday, December 23, 2022 at 3:00 pm. A Celebration of Life will follow at the Carriage Hall in Tillsonburg from 4:00 – 7:00 pm. Private inurnment will be held at a later date at the Tillsonburg Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Tillsonburg Shrine Club or the Helping Hands Food Bank would be appreciated by the Smith family.
