November 28, 1941 – December 10, 2023
After a long courageous battle, the family wishes to announce the passing of their beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother Ruth Anne Hewitt of Tillsonburg at the age of 82 years on Sunday, December 10, 2023. Predeceased by her loving husband Glen (2010). Loving mother to Harold (Sharon) Hewitt, Crystal McKellar and Tammy Woodhouse. Proud grandmother to Christopher (Alyshia), Kevin (Leah), Morgan (Cody) and Kendra. Great grandmother to Seth, Lydia and Zeke. Cherished sister to Muriel Guitard. Ruth was a beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother Muriel, sister Mary, sister Winnie, brother Bobby, brother Jimmy as well as many other relatives, friends and her beloved dog Sandy.
Friends and relatives will be received at Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) on Thursday, December 14, 2023 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm and Friday, December 15, 2023 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am. The Funeral Service for Ruth will be held in Ostrander’s Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 am immediately following the visitation with Pastor Lola Mather-Dyer presiding. Interment will be held at Springford Cemetery. Memorial donations to the NF Society (Neurofibromatoses) of Ontario would be appreciated by the Hewitt family, either directly to the charity or by contacting Ostrander’s Funeral Home.
