Obituary for Sheila Rhanay Mabee (Cupples)
SHEILA RHANAY MABEE
Peacefully at her residence, surrounded by her loving family, Sheila Rhanay Mabee passed away on Friday, September 15, 2023 at the age of 74 years. Loving wife of 48 years to Clifford. Amazing and witty mother to Lesley Mabee (Michael Horton), Craig Williams, Tabatha Mabee (Scott Smith), and Jason (Maud) Mabee. Sheila was extremely proud of her 16 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She was the beloved sister of Ruby Schweyer, Norretta Cupples and Doug Cupples. She was a special Aunt to several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Walter and Helen Cupples (nee Cowell), her sister Faye Sergeant and her brother Larry Cupples. Sheila will be fondly remembered as a Gamer and an avid cribbage player that loved to compete. The family wish to express a special thank-you to palliative nurse Kim McKibbon and PSW Roxane Wilson for their care and compassion.
In keeping with Sheila’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held for Sheila. A date and time will be announced. In Sheila’s honour donations to the Canadian Lung Association would be appreciated either directly or by contacting Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg.
