Obituary for Ted Lagoda

TED LAGODA
FEBRUARY 3, 1943 – OCTOBER 25, 2020
The family wishes to announce the passing of their beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Thaddeus “Ted” Lagoda, of Courtland, on Sunday, October 25, 2020, at the age of 77 years. Loving husband of 53 years to his wife Grace. A true family man to his children Katherine McQuiggin, the late Andrea Burchill (2001), Jeff Lagoda and his wife Tracy, and Jennifer Alyea. Grandfather to Ashley, Grant, Jarod, Jessica, Gregory, Brooklyn, and Andrew. Brother to Tony (Judith) Lagoda. Loving uncle to several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Anthony and Josephine, and sister Christine Wisniewski. Ted was an avid fisherman. Ted enjoyed woodworking and carved multiple ducks and boats. He also enjoyed making wine, and dancing, and singing with family and friends. Ted was a longtime employee with Fernlea Flowers, Courtland. Friends and relatives will be received at Ostrander’s Funeral Home Limited, 43 Bidwell Street Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) on Thursday, October 29, 2020 from 3:30 pm until 6:30 pm. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, public visitation will be LIMITED to ONLY guests that sign up for a specific time to attend. Time slots will be made available on our website or by calling 519-842-5221. Guests are asked to not attend if they are ill, have been around anyone that is ill or have travelled. Guests are required to wear masks and maintain social distancing rules. Guests are encouraged to only attend when their time slot begins. A private family Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Interment will take place at the St. Ladislaus Roman Catholic Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Parkinson Foundation of Canada or the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada may be made by contacting Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) who have been entrusted with the arrangements.
