THOMAS “TOM” CLIFFORD SMITH
September 2, 1927 – December 31, 2019
Surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, December 31, 2019, Thomas Clifford Smith, “Tom”, of Tillsonburg passed away at the Woodingford Lodge in Woodstock at the age of 92 years. Loving and devoted husband of 25 years to his wife Barbara. Caring father to his children Kathy Smith, Larry (Alanna) Smith, Steven Smith, Jeffrey (Caroline) Smith, Cheryl (Ken) Donais, Wendy (Larry) Dewaele, Debra (Frank) Walters, Pamela (Rob) Weinberger, Perry Miller, Colby (Sandy) Miller and Troy (Lisa) Miller. Loving grandfather and great grandfather to 17 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. He will also be missed by his siblings Norman (Sheila) Smith and Marilyn (Bill) Carter and sister in law Doreen Smith. Uncle to several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Morley (1974) and Jennie (1993), his son Beverly (1978), his first wife Margery (1965) and his second wife Beatrice (1990), daughter-in-law Sandra Smith as well as his siblings Milton (2009), Jack (Pauline) (2016) and Jim (Norma) (2017). Friends and family will be received at OSTRANDER’S FUNERAL HOME LIMITED, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) on Friday, January 03, 2020 from 1:30 – 3:30 p.m. with a funeral service to follow. Interment will take place at the Tillsonburg Cemetery. A special thank you to Judy Crane and the staff at Woodingford Lodge in Woodstock and to Dr. Barry Roth for all of your support. Memorial donations to the Kidney Foundation or the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital would be appreciated by the Smith family.
