TYRONE WILLIAM MERCER
1950-2023
It is with great sadness that the family of Tyrone William Mercer, age 72 years, announce his passing at Caressant Care, Courtland on Saturday, March 4, 2023. Predeceased by the love of his life, Donna Jean (2007). He will be cherished by his loving and dedicated partner Marilyn Bunz. Tyrone was a dedicated father to Sabrina Mercer, Michael (Cortney) Mercer of Courtland, Charlene Mercer of Tillsonburg and Valerie Mercer. Loving grandfather to Taylor, Breanna, Desmond, Benson, Katelyn and Joey. Brother-in-law to Bob (Jo) Graff, Bill (Kim) Graff and Jim Leblanc. Uncle to several nieces and nephews. Tyrone will be forever grateful for his lifelong friends. He was predeceased by his parents Al and Dorothy Mercer, his sister Dorothy Leblanc and his adopted parents, Irene and Gordon Tisdale. Tyrone owned Mercer’s Garage and was well known to his community for excellent care. He valued and cherished his family, friends and community. Tyrone will always be remembered for his Zest for Life. Cremation has taken place. A visitation will be held at Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg, ON (519) 842-5221 on Saturday, March 11, 2023 from 1:00pm until 4:00pm. A celebration of life and a graveside service for Tyrone will be held at a later date to be announced. In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Alzheimer’s Society and would be appreciated by the family.
