Obituary for William "Bill" Franklin Carroll

CARROLL, William F "Bill"

1945-2021 Son of Roy and Helen (Holcomb) Carroll. Bill passed away on the early morning of March 3, at the TDMH. He is survived by his wife Brenda of 50 years and his daughter Lisa and son Garrin. He will be missed by family and close friends alike. A businessman and avid boater/fisherman, Bill was also a Blue Jays fan and Fox news watcher. He had an eclectic taste in ranges of music but also immersed himself in things scientific and technological ranging from botanical knowledge to computer and networking technology later in his retirement. He was also a competent construction planner and handyman, designing and building his own fishing boat and extensions to his house. He loved his dog "Bawb", a Rhodesian Ridgeback and his iconic-like white Cadillac. Bill was a 3rd generation and proprietor of Carroll Brothers Hardware store. To those that knew him, he had a sardonic wit in the company of others, which masked his sincerity and support for his family. The family will grieve his passing but celebrate his life. Graveside services have taken place on March 6th at the Tillsonburg Cemetery where Bill was buried alongside Roy and Helen. Donations in lieu of flowers gratefully appreciated by family. Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519)842-5221 entrusted with the arrangements.
