Christina Jane Scott (1945-2016)
Peacefully, after a lengthy illness with her loving family by her side on Tuesday, July 12, 2016, Christina Scott of St. Marys passed away at Sakura House Woodstock at the age of 71 years. Beloved wife of Mervin for 52 years. Dearest mother of Rick Scott (Angie) of Aylmer and Deborah Lynn Kilfoyle (Stephen) of Bradford. Much loved grandma/nana to Kerry, Korina, Daniel, Olivia, Spencer, Addison, Jaime and Mackenzie. Christina is also survived by brothers Charles (Skip), Harry and Earl as well as her sisters, Jeanette, Paulette, June, Sue, Sharon, Linda and Debbie. Predeceased by her daughter Karen Marie VanHollen (2005) and her parents Daisy Viola (Welch) Gale (1963), William Clifford Gale (1980) and her brother Frank (1983). Christina was a foster parent to many children over many years in New Market, Dorchester and St. Marys. Friends and relatives will be received at Ostrander’s Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The Memorial Service for Christina will be held in Ostrander’s Chapel, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519)842-5221 on Thursday, July 21, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Harold Scott will officiate. Donations in Christina’s memory may be made to VON Sakura House or Kerry’s Future Fund.
