Roger Boyer 1944-2016
Peacefully, on Monday August 1, 2016 Roger Boyer passed away at his home in Long Point with his family at his side. Dearly beloved husband of Maureen Scapinello. Predeceased by his first wife Carol. Loving father of Michael (Debbie) Boyer, Ronnie (Tammy) Boyer, and Geraldine Boyer. Cherished grandfather of 9 terrific grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. Roger is survived by his brother Renee and Cathy Boyer. Predeceased by his siblings Gilles Boyer, Rita Boyer and Nicole Troyer. Roger was an avid outdoorsman who lived to hunt, fish, and enjoy his many hours boating out on the water. Roger a former iron worker retired to his Long Point home 6 years ago where he found so much peace. The family will receive family and friends at Ostrander’s Funeral Home 43 Bidwell St. Tillsonburg (519) 842-5221 on Saturday August 6, 2016 from 1p.m. to 3p.m. Funeral service for Roger will be held in the chapel at 3 p.m. with Rev. Paul Robinson officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Long Point Conservation Authority. Personal condolences can be made at www.ostrandersfuneralhome.com
