John Young

Suddenly, at his home in Chatham on Sunday December 19, 2004 John Otis Young formerly of Tillsonburg age 78 years. Beloved husband of the late Doris Young (2001). Dear father of Scott Young of Chatham; Glenn Young of Glencoe; Michael (Candy) of Glencoe; Crystal (Mark) DeGroote of Tillsonburg. Cherished grandfather to Alex and Ila. Dear brother of Edna Lister of Island Brook, Quebec; May Walker of Beamsville; Edith (Robert) Westbroom of Lennoxville, Quebec; Melvin (Marjorie) Young of Red Bridge, Ontario; Prescott (Eleanor) Young of Beamsville; George (Pat) Young of Tillsonburg. Brother in law of Flora Young of Smithville. Also, survived by many nieces and nephews. John was predeceased by his brother Walter of Smithville, and brother-in-law Harold of Beamsville. The family will receive friends at Ostranders Funeral Home 43 Bidwell St. Tillsonburg (842-5221) on Wednesday December 29, 2004 from 1-3 pm. A Memorial service for John will be held in the Ostranders Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday December 29, 2004 at 3 p.m. Pastor Allen Smith of Delhi officiating. Cremation has taken place. A private family interment will take place at a later date. Memorial donations (payable by cheque) may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or the Canadian Cancer Society.
