Peacefully, at the London Health Science Centre Victoria Hospital Campus on Friday February 24, 2006 surrounded by her loving family, Edna Smith of Tillsonburg age 75 years. Beloved wife and best friend of 52years to her loving husband Norman Smith. Dear mother of Stephen (Susan) Smith of Springfield. Cherished and much loved grandmother to Tina Darlene Smith and her fiance Slawek Kaczmarek of Goderich. Dear sister of Ruth “Peggy” Lythe of England; Isobelle McKenzie of England; Joan (Frank) Barnes of Texas, U.S.A. Edna is also survived by her nephew Robert Lythe of England. Predeceased by her son Richard Smith (2000). The family will receive friends at Ostrander’s Funeral Home 43 Bidwell St. Tillsonburg (842-5221) on Thursday March 2, 2006 from 12 noon until 1 p.m. A Memorial service for Edna will be held in Ostrander’s Funeral Home on Thursday March 2, 2006 at 1 p.m. Pastor Paul Robinson officiating. Cremation has taken place. A Private family inurnment will be held at Tillsonburg Cemetery at a later date. In Edna’s memory at the families request memorial donations (payable by cheque) may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society; Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Salvation Army.
