It is with great sadness that the family of Wayne Douglas Hedges of Woodstock formerly of Straffordville announce his passing at Caressant Care Nursing Home Woodstock on Saturday, January 24, 2009 at the age of 57 years. Beloved and cherished son of Bruce and Helen Hedges of Tillsonburg. Dear brother of Dixie Lamb of Tillsonburg, and Barbara Hedges of Tillsonburg. Dear uncle to Jason (Tracey) Hedges of St. Thomas; Shawn Hedges of London; Erin Hedges of London; Tammie (Shawn) Lisabeth of Fairground; Trevor (Tara) Lamb of Tillsonburg; Tyler and his friend Melissa of Tillsonburg; Joshua Oenema (Amanda) of Sterling, and great uncle to Faith and Olivia Hedges; Seth Hedges; Taylor Lisabeth; Travis and Trent Lamb, and Landon Oenema. Also, survived by several aunts and uncles. Wayne was predeceased by his brother Rick Hedges (2002). The family will receive friends, and neighbours at Ostrander’s Funeral Home 43 Bidwell St. Tillsonburg (519) 842-5221 on Tuesday January 27, 2009 from 1p.m. until 2 p.m. Funeral service for Wayne will be held in Ostrander’s Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday at 2 p.m. Pastors Lorraine and Harold Collins officiating. Interment Tillsonburg Cemetery. At the family’s request memorial donations (payable by cheque) may be made to the Canadian Diabetic Association.
