DARLENE HOMENUIK (1949 – 2020)
Suddenly, at her home in Tillsonburg on Monday, February 17, 2020, Eleanor “Darlene” (Monk) Homenuik passed away at the age of 70 years. Beloved wife of the late Bill Homenuik (2002). Proud and loving mother of her three sons; John (Jan) of Ingersoll, Jim (Bridgette) of Delhi and Jerry (Sheri) of Tillsonburg. Cherished grandmother of Mitchell, Steven (Chastity), Jaden, Waylon, Stephen, Chance, Darrien (Shawn), Mikaley, Gavin, Maci and many great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Sherry Short, Ralph Monk (Brenda), Hilly Monk (Patty), Randy Monk (Linda), Kenny Monk (Chris) and Joanie Monk (Dan). Darlene is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by 2 sisters Debbie Monk, Mary Anne Monk, her brother David Monk and brother –in-law Arnold Short. Darlene was a member of the Bethel Temple Church in Tillsonburg. She was an avid bingo and card player. Most important to Darlene was her family. She enjoyed hosting Sunday dinners for her entire family. Friends and relatives will be received at Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) on Saturday, February 22, 2020 from 1:00 – 3:00 pm. The Memorial Service will be held in Ostrander’s Chapel at 3:00 pm with Pastor Brent Shepherd officiating. Private inurnment will be held at Delmer Cemetery in the spring. Memorial donations to Bethel Temple or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the Homenuik family.

It was the summer of 2009 the first memory and the first time I met you when you and Aunt Sherry came up that summer to spend some time with my dad some of the family members it was a great visit a meeting you and my privilege to get to know you that's day memory of you stay in my heart forever I know you're up there with my dad and your husband bill and grandma and grandpa and aunt Debbie and Aunt Mary Anne and the rest that went before you rest in peace Auntie have a beautiful Journey

My condolences in the loss of your mom, I remember her from when i worked at the arcade and Darlene came in to talk to Pat Wass. I am very sorry as she was a wonderful lady.
