Peacefully, at Chateau Gardens Nursing Home, Parkhill Ontario, Leslie Granville Eyre Wilson of Tillsonburg, formerly of Sudbury on Monday, January 21, 2008 age 96 years. Beloved husband of the late Freda Wilson (nee: Saunders)(2001). Dear father of Margaret (Randall) Corbett of Jasper, Florida; Terry Wilson of Wallaceburg; Jeff Wilson of Sudbury; Darlene (James) Russell of Tillsonburg. Loving grandfather to Randall Corbett Jr.; Catherine (Mark) Isaac; Scott (Cindy) Corbett; Chris (Ashley) Wilson; Margaret (Jeremy) Rabideau; Sean (Lisa) Corbett; Karen Russell; Shawna Russell. Also, survived by many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, a daughter-in-law Ruth Wilson; a sister Madeline King of England, and a dear friend and acquaintance Carol Draper. Leslie was predeceased by his grandson Jeff Corbett; sister Mabel Wilson, and brothers Kenneth Wilson, Ron, and Stan Corfield, Willy, Dennis and Ted Fox. Leslie worked for Falconbridge Nickel Mines Sudbury division as a Millcrusher man for 30 years until his retirement in 1974. The family will receive friends, neighbours, and family at Ostrander’s Funeral Home 43 Bidwell St. Tillsonburg (519) 842-5221 on Thursday January 24, 2008 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service for Leslie will be held in Ostrander’s Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, January 25, 2008 at 1 p.m. Pastor Ron Ferris of Tillsonburg Salvation Army Church officiating. Interment Tillsonburg Cemetery. At the family’s request memorial donations (payable by cheque) may be made to the Salvation Army Church, or to the Alzeihmer’s Society.
