Marion Arthur

Peacefully at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe, Marion Arthur passed away on Saturday, December 22, 2007 at the age of 94 years. Predeceased by her husband Hugh (1983). A real naturalist and wonderful teacher to her children the late Lois Ayres (1975), Peter Arthur and his wife Helen of Burlington, Jeanne Rawlins and her husband Donald of Glendale, Arizona, Donald Arthur and his wife Jeannea of Tillsonburg. Grandmother to 9 grandchildren. Great grandmother to 14 great grandchildren. Predeceased by her siblings Edith Fishback, Melvin Robbins, Annabell McKim, Cora Goodger, Ruby Hefkey, Harvey Robbins and Margaret Barham. Marion was a member of the Norfolk County Naturalist Club and the Horticultural Society. She was an extensively charitable person. All who knew Marion will miss her dearly, she was like a grandmother to the many children she looked after throughout her years. The family will receive friends and neighbours at Ostrander’s Funeral Home 43 Bidwell St. Tillsonburg (519) 842-5221 on Thursday, December 27, 2007 from 12:00 â€" 1:00 p.m. Funeral service for Marion will be held in Ostrander’s Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, December 27, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. Interment Walsh United Church Cemetery. At the family’s request in lieu of flowers memorial donations (payable by cheque) may be made to the Alzheimers Society.
